Mobile Messaging revenues to rise to $212bn by 2013

Posted by Admin on November 11, 2008

That is the finding from a recent report by ABI Research. The figure of $212bn represents an increase of $52bn from the 2008 numbers.

And before you think that the report was written before the recent downturn, ABI acknowledges that this rise will happen despite the downturn.

Dan Shey, an analyst at ABI said, “Mobile messaging ARPUs are 85%+ of all handset data services revenues regardless of region and will remain so for many years.” He thinks one of the key drivers for the growth over the next few years will be in the way that different types of messaging services and players start to work together.
